RDP Insole Dynamic Foot Lifter
Foot drop is a neurological condition that causes the inability to lift the front of the foot. People with it drag their toes on the ground, which is why they raise their knee high or swing their leg in an arc.
Foot drop is the result of weakness or paralysis of the extensor muscles.
There are three reasons for this:
peroneal nerve injury
spinal and brain disorders
muscle problems
The peroneal nerve runs down the lateral side of the popliteal fossa to the head of the fibula and helps lift the foot. Because of its location, it is very easy to damage following a sports injury or hip or knee replacement surgery.
Foot drop can occur at any age and can affect one foot or both feet at the same time. Treatment depends on the cause: physical therapy is used to strengthen the muscles, and surgery may be recommended to try to repair a damaged nerve. Early treatment can improve the chances of recovery. Regardless of the type of injury, lightweight orthotics are the most common treatment.
For this we have created an excellent AFO orthosis. It has a special insert that lifts the foot and it is very comfortable and invisible under clothing.
The AFO orthosis improves muscle function by supporting active gait in people with muscle weakness, nerve degeneration or other disorders.
The orthosis is made of AeroSpace™.
AirRubber III™ rubbers

The AFO orthosis is equipped with semi-rigid sole supports to lift the foot. The orthosis is lightweight
