Immobilization of the metacarpophalangeal joints of the thumb (post-trauma and post-surgery). Limits unwanted movements of the wrist, distal and proximal (flexion – extension) and radial and ulnar deviation.

Tendinitis. Painful and inflammatory sequelae. Instability of the metacarpophalangeal joints. Sports injuries (e.g. skier's thumb). Irritation of the metacarpophalangeal joints. Immobilization of the trapeziometacarpal joint (thumb rhizarthrosis).
